Contrary to popular opinion, working in the textiles and fashion industry isn’t just fancy parties and events…but they do take place from time to time!
We were delighted to attend the Bespoke Tailors’ Benevolent Association’s summer party at the Merchant Taylors’ Hall in London on 30th June, as a partner of the event.
The BTBA was formed in 2012 as a union of two of the most revered charities in the British tailoring industry – the Master Tailors’ Benevolent Association (established 1887) and the Tailors’ Benevolent Institute (established 1861). The association supports over 60 beneficiaries who have worked within the sector for more than ten years, and the summer party saw the awarding of this year’s Savile Row Bespoke Association diplomas, by some of the biggest names in British tailoring.
In attendance from Dugdale Bros were our managing director Simon Glendenning, and regional sales managers Amit Karia and Jack Rowan. They were in excellent company at the dinner, sharing a table with Chris Modoo of Urbane Outfitter, Nish Kotecha of Chester Barrie, Aleks Cvetovic of The Jackal Magazine, Susannah Hall of Susannah Hall Tailors, Brigitte Stepputtis of Vivienne Westwood, and Richard Fuller of Oliver Brown.
It was certainly an evening to remember, but not the only exciting event in what is becoming a particularly packed summer calendar for us! We’ll also be showcasing our fine cloths at this year’s London Textile Fair, taking place between 9:00 and 18:30 on Wednesday 19th and Thursday 20th July at the Business Design Centre in Islington.
It’s the biggest textiles fair in London, and we’re excited to be exhibiting amongst an array of other leaders in the industry. Alongside our own renowned fabric collections, we’ll be presenting the Lanificio Cerruti bunches from our stand as well.
So, if you’re attending the event, we’d love to see you at stand N36! Or, if you’re unable to visit the exhibition and would like to arrange an appointment with our London sales manager Amit, please feel free to contact him via email.
